To those humans and animals who have bravely protected our country, my deepest gratitude!
Your sacrifice and bravery will never be forgotten and will always be appreciated.

We have had sunny skies and we have had stormy skies. Here is a few of the storm clouds that rolled through...I like the rain.Tue ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito (Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them)

It is true, when you are a royal horse you can often do as you please. Sometimes I choose to eat dessert first. I often enjoy my cob, PGR, vitamins, and supplements before I eat my dinner in the evening. This could be attributed to the fact that I have deep grass to graze on all day, so I have eaten plenty and am ready for dessert.Tue ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito (Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them)
One of the things a royal horse must be able to do is multi-task. We have so many responsibilities that require attention, many times simultaneously. I have perfected this ability. As you can see in the photo I am listening to the riding instructor and the SPS at the same time. Actually I might have been trying to get the SPS's attention so I could better assist her in following the directions of the instructor.

The SPS working on stretching her back. She got a bit sore working on sitting straight. She broke her back in her 20's and has some arthritis in it, the result is that she leans to the right when she rides. Not a big deal, but it does throw us off a bit. The riding instructor has her working on a trampoline to learn to weight both sides of her body evenly.Tue ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito (Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them)
The SPS and I took a lesson this past weekend. Seems that the instructor says I don't travel straight...so? I get were I need to be in fine form. Seems that the SPS doesn't sit centered either. Well there you have it-the reason I don't travel straight.
We both worked hard at keeping straight and centered, turns out it is a bit of work to do that when you have been practicing laziness.

Usually I do not engage in fisticuffs, scuffles or other forms of hooligan behavior. This past Saturday was another matter entirely. My royal pasture was invaded by an assailant and I was force to personally deal with said assailant. I used my mighty hooves and flattened the assailant, I killed it. I was forced to kill it, it didn't take my warning stomp and leave peacefully, it actually hissed and spit at me. I am hoping this incident serves as a warning to other possible assailants in the future.
I also want to wish the SPS's son Mushboy a very happy birthday today. If you come by my pasture with my treats I will give you a birthday smooch.

Look I have a mask made with a tartan pattern. The SPS has had me wearing it, but I am not sure why. So far I have received no royal visitors from Scotland. I have made sure the pasture is properly prepared for royal visitors and waiting patiently...so far nothing. I have been wondering if the reason for the tartan is already here. There are to minis, maybe they are leprechauns. There is a fancy retired show horse here who used to have a fancy Irish name...I don't think he counts because he eats dirt. Maybe the SPS is just making sure that I am properly attired at all times.
The farrier and the equine therapist are coming this weekend. I will conduct my self appropriately for the farrier. If the therapist starts digging her fingertips into my rear again trying to make me do a bum tuck I plan on giving what I think is an appropriate response-so be warned mean fingertip lady.

This photo is taken from when I gave Calvin, who I now call the little prince, a tour of my royal pasture.
I like giving little humans rides. I spent many years teaching little humans how to ride, I am very patient and caring. I look forward to taking the little prince to the arena on his next visit. I think he will be a good horseman, he loves horses and that is a good start.Tue ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito (Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them)

The SPS's grandson is a grand young man. After I gave him the tour of my royal pasture he thanked me in a royal manner. The dapper young lad held my treat tub for me while I ate. Young gentleman added six green apple cookies as a special thank you.

This weekend I had a precious visitor, Calvin the SPS's grandson. He came in to visit me and asked for a ride. Little child was so cute it was my honor to carry him around the pasture. First he brushed me, then I kissed on him, and then off for a tour of the royal section of the pasture we went. I walk is a slow and stately manner so that he would feel safe and comfortable while we toured my royal pasture. When the tour was finished he thanked me for the ride and gave me treats. I hope he comes back for another visit, it was lots of fun!
