Clinic

I took the SPS to a clinic yesterday. All the humans were properly impressed by me. The clinician called me a "solid citizen" because I was so well behaved.
There was a steer there- he had horns, his name was Steak. He was properly awed by my royal presence and followed me while I was lunging and the followed me in the afternoon while I carried the SPS.
I worked with the SPS for six hours yesterday, she improved greatly. She rode me English and I liked that saddle much better. She is new at riding English so I had to be very patient and make sure not to unseat her by moving sideways too fast or spinning.
We had a grand day!

Only for the Little Prince would I lower myself to wearing a string of pearls. This is soooo embarrassing. I did get some extra special treats out of the whole affair.

Babysitting?

Here is the little prince riding me the other day. He said he didn't want to ride. When the SPS asked him to keep me busy while she did something with another horse he agreed. He rode me around and around. When the SPS came back and said she was done and would take me back the little prince said he wasn't done babysitting me yet. WHAT??? I want to point out that my royal person does not need to be babysat, guarded maybe but never babysat.

Embarrassed

So the SPS has been riding me in preparation for the Fall Follies. The last fall follies that she rode in she was unseated by He of the Spotty Butt. The SPS was hurt badly and didn't ride for six months. Last year for Fall Follies she took Freedom and did the ground games. This year she wants to be competitive. Oh isn't that grand? As a result she is subjecting me to all kinds of embarrassing silly activities. Her latest attempt to embarrass me was very effective. She had me out in the pasture where everyone driving by could see us and then proceeded to ride me around while she waved around a gymnastic ribbon. How humiliating! Do I look like a gymnast? She was lucky I didn't decide to launch into a routine of horsey gymnastics. It is a good thing that she makes a delicious treat tub or I wouldn't cooperate with her very unroyal antics.

Fun day

The SPS and I took he of the spotty butt out to the cow pasture for a workout. I was an excellent pony horse and did a nice slow trot so he would not have to over work himself. Now this youngster has no respect for my royal equineness-he is always trying to smooch me on the face. This afternoon he tried while we were trotting. I think he reasoned that I can only do one thing at a time. Well he was wrong, his affront was met with pinny ears and a baring of my royal teeth.

We ended up having fun and I look forward to our next outing.

Teaching the baby

This evening it was my pleasure to teach a young filly how to pony. Shandi belongs to the SPS's husband. Shandi was a good student. I also assisted the SPS in getting better at ponying. This was only the third time she has ponied a horse. Under my expert tutelage she is becoming pretty adept at it.
